Bishop Robert E Joyce ….or Rejoyce as he is known, was born Christmas Day in Hulbert, Arkansas and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He later moved to Michigan to attend John Wesley Christian College, Thomas Cooley Law School and Willliam Tyndale College.Bishop and his late wife LaVern founded Life Worship and Training Center in 1982 in Pontiac, Michigan, a growing apostolic prophetic church commissioned to equip the saints for great exploits while transforming lives and churches across the world. It is currently the center for prophetic and apostolic training in the northern suburbs of Detroit including the widely attended annual National Apostolic Prophetic School (NAPS). NAPS travels nationwide to establish and develop solid prophetic ministry in churches. Bishop demystifies the prophetic so that anyone can recognize the Voice of God. The Training Center is also known for its 1989 anti-drug commitment involving aggressive warfare and a citywide march. The results of the church’s efforts were so dramatic that Good Morning America did a story spotlighting the church and the more than twenty seven known crack houses which were shut down.A new church building was completed in 2001 and can convert its sanctuary into a regulation size basketball court where community outreaches take place all week for youth and adults. It is located only a few miles from the Palace where the Detroit Pistons hold their games. Professional athletes have called Life Worship & Training Center their home when staying in town.Bishop Joyce is currently the NBA Chaplain for the Detroit Pistons and also serves as Chaplain for the Department of Law Enforcement for the City of Pontiac. He is ordained with Christian International since 1991 as a CI-NPM Minister and serves on the Board of Governors with Bishop Bill Hamon, as well as serving as a member of his Apostolic Board.
Bishop Joyce travels the nations extensively under the banner of REJoyce Ministries. He is in great demand for his outstanding teaching and prophetic ministry. His humorous style of preaching has allowed him to cross denominational lines as a keynote speaker and seminar teacher, bridging races, ages, and religions. He has ministered to date on four continents and many islands.More recently, Bishop Joyce established REJoyce Ministries Global Alliance in answer to pastors’ requests for prophetic insight and apostolic mentoring for expansion and critical breakthroughs. Its mission is also to connect ministries to resources and relationships for Kingdom dominion.
